God created you, it was not an accident. What you do, every part of it matters..
Many people plod through life and maybe discouraged that they are not like others or seem to have no purpose or direction. The fact is that God created you and has a purpose for your dreams, talents, experiences and ability’s. You, yes you have a specific role or purpose.
Number one God specifically thought of and created you.
Psalms 119:73
Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands.
Jeremiah 1:5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb.
Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
Number Two God has a plan for you and you have an important purpose to fulfill in his plan.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”
Ephesians 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will
Ephesians 2:1 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do
How do we find out our part in God’s plan? How do we answer the question “Why am I here?
Develop your relationship with God. Work at it, cultivate it, get the weeds out, water it and live for him..
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty. 14 God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.
2 Timothy 2:15 Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth. 16 Avoid worthless, foolish talk that only leads to more godless behavior. 17 This kind of talk spreads like cancer, as in the case of Hymenaeus and Philetus. 18 They have left the path of truth, claiming that the resurrection of the dead has already occurred; in this way, they have turned some people away from the faith.
19 But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and “All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.”
20 In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. 21 If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.
22 Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.
23 Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. 24 A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. 25 Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. 26 Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.
Philippians 1;6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
7 So it is right that I should feel as I do about all of you, for you have a special place in my heart. You share with me the special favor of God, both in my imprisonment and in defending and confirming the truth of the Good News. 8 God knows how much I love you and long for you with the tender compassion of Christ Jesus.
9 I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. 10 For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. 11 May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ[b]—for this will bring much glory and praise to God.

Lifting up the name of Jesus
Posted in Life, Success with tags Bible, bible study, bikers christmas, contact with God, creator, forgiveness, Jesus, joy, Life, matthew, name of Jesus, power, Prayer, serving God on July 30, 2010 by RagsMatthew 10: 27- 33 by Kevin Kohltoff
Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
God was kind enough to share His word with us to which as faithful Christians we should be engaged in, and He speaks to us through our heart and through those who have fellowship with God. The things God tells us should not be considered embarrassing; we should not be ashamed of what God stands for and the righteousness that He preserves. Whatever we learn from God isn’t supposed to be kept to ourselves but rather shared with all. We are supposed to stand up for the values and morals of God, keeping His righteous standards above ground and not let the things important to God be buried amongst the dead. Which in these days that’s exactly what this world is trying to do; but we, as believers, can’t just keep our mouths shut and say nothing. God doesn’t want us to stay isolated and keep His word quiet, His word needs to be brought to the light and shouted from the highest peaks.
But most believers don’t really act that way, do they? No, they come up with some lame excuse as to why they don’t talk about the things of God. If you call them on it, they say that it’s not because they are ashamed, so they give some other reason to justify their silence. The most common thing you will hear is that they don’t feel that they know enough about the things of God, or that it’s not their calling, to which my response is that they need to get going in their studies. If you are a born again believer then you know how to talk about the saving grace of God and if you don’t then how do you know if you are saved. And as far as it not being you’re calling to preach, that might be so but you do have a calling to spread the Gospel. Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ is the calling of all born again believers; it really comes down to whether you really believe in what you are doing. If you really trust in what you are doing, whatever that might be, you will share it with others. But of course sharing the Gospel of Jesus with others can come with some heavy persecution and rejection.
There is nothing done in this world that God does not know about, we might not think twice about a sparrow falling to the ground but God is aware of each and everyone that falls and can you imagine trying to keep count of the hairs on all the heads upon the earth, not to mention each one that falls out, especially as we grow older and they start falling out more quickly, and yet God has them all numbered. God concerns Himself with everything going on in this world and as far as we are concerned, well let’s face it, God loves us so much that He came into this world and died for our sins. God knows everything about us and as much as we might be able to convince others the reasons we do the things we do, we cannot fool God as God knows the heart and the real reason behind your silence.
So what is it that we are afraid of? It is true that man can kill us but they have no power over our soul. But God can destroy both soul and body, but of course this is not referring to annihilation but rather ruination. To annihilate you would be the easy way out; to ruin you would be everlasting suffering and pain. So if its fear you have you better believe the one that you should fear is not man but God.
Everything we do will be evaluated at the judgment seat of Christ and for us to refuse to speak up for Jesus because we are afraid because of intimidation or persecution will result in us losing our reward and the consequence of not being able to enter into the kingdom of God. If you are ashamed of Jesus and His words then He will be ashamed of you, and if Jesus is ashamed of you then I don’t see Him telling the Father that He knows you.
The bottom line is that if we don’t want to confess to others, no matter what the situation, whether we are intimidated or fear for our lives, or whatever, if we deny Jesus and our relationship with Him then in essence we are denying our faith in Him and if you do not have faith then you are not saved. Anyone you know intimately and are friends with them you won’t deny, so what are you saying if you deny Jesus by not defending Him both in our actions and with our words? Many will say that they will show their faith with their actions but the truth is that they are scared about what others will say of them. You won’t get too much grief for living within your morals and values but try to tell others why you live the way you do, then you will begin to feel some of what Jesus went through when He defended you when He went to the cross. I could go on and on with this and I already have but the truth is that we need to start telling others about the things of God and lift up the name of Jesus before all.
At the Command of Jesus

Matthew 14: 25- 33
Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the water was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those who were in the boat came and worshipped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”
At the commands of Jesus we can do the impossible, the problem is within us and our unbelief. Peter was safe in the boat and could have remained there but became willing to test the waters at the command of Jesus and when he began all was fine but when he took his eyes off of Jesus and noticed the waters and the rising of the waves he began to sink. I can’t help but to think of all the people in the church who safely remain in the confines of the church walls and never test the waters, even at the command of Jesus. Jesus gives the command and we begin the journey that He has spoken to us about but then we allow doubt to creep in and for whatever reason, whether it’s because we don’t think of ourselves as adequate or capable or maybe we’re afraid, we place our eyes on us and not Jesus and we allow fear take hold of us. We take our eyes off of Jesus and begin to look to ourselves as the source of strength and that’s when we fail. Peter was walking on water till he noticed the waves then he realized that what he was doing was impossible and that’s when he began to sink, but after crying out to the Lord to save him Jesus reached out and took hold of him and the both of them finished walking back to the boat together.
It’s not the task at hand that we need to be fearful of, it’s the fear of whether we try to do it our self or if we do it with Jesus and under His power. If Jesus commanded you to do something you have nothing to fear, Jesus will see you through it if you will continue in faith. Jesus isn’t going to command you to do something and then leave you to do it alone. All we have to do is step up and go and keep our eyes on Jesus as we do. But for most of us, if we begin to do as Jesus commanded us but we don’t see the instant results of success then we give up. We begin to question whether Jesus told us or not and doubt begins to form its ugly head in our minds. So we give up, unlike Peter who cried out to the Lord to save him and continued with his walk. So to must we, it’s not that Jesus hasn’t told you to go but rather because of the expectations you have put on it. Granted, when Jesus is involved it’s hard not to expect amazing things but sometimes it takes a moment to get through some of the waves. I am reminded of John the Baptist, I wonder when he first began to speak in the wilderness preparing the way for the Lord, how many were there to listen on his first day, week, or even month. Did he take some people with him, did he already have disciples or did he go it alone with Jesus. I believe he probably began the ministry alone with Jesus in the wilderness preaching out to the crickets till someone went by and heard him and then from there people began to come. We can also include Noah who was commanded to build a boat for a flood that had never happened prior, people jeered at him and made fun for a hundred years but he never gave up on the command. Jonah of course tried to run from God but with no avail and when he finally did what he was commanded saved a whole city. Let’s not forget about Abraham, the father of us all, who was told to go but knew not of where he was going but went any way, and God created a whole nation by his seed. Moses who tried to talk his way out from the command of God became the leader of the Israelites and was unto them like a god, who also gave us the laws of God.
I could go on but you get the point. At the command of Jesus we need to step out in faith and go. Just as Peter stepped out into the water, we too must step out into the water and do as Jesus has commanded us, and when the going gets tough cry out to Jesus who is there and will save you. We really have no excuse; the bible is given to inspire us in faith to do the impossible and with God there is nothing impossible. The bible tells us to pray for laborers as the harvest is ripe, so if you think to yourself that you have not been called by God to do something amazing for Him then I would tell you to get your eyes off of you and begin to look to Jesus and the love He has for all those born into this world. And when people see you doing the amazing they will look to Jesus giving Him worship and praise confessing that Jesus is indeed the Son of the Most High God.
At the command of Jesus we must go. There is a reason that Jesus has commanded us and to not obey is to quench the move of the Spirit of God. Of course Jesus can always use someone else but is that really how you feel? Do you not respect our mighty King more than that? Do you not trust in Him enough to know that He is with you and will not forsake you? God is God and He makes the impossible possible and He has called each and every believer into His church to be ministers of His will, so get over yourself and look to Jesus and at the command of Jesus, GO!.
