The Time to Worship in Spirit and Truth is Now!

Posted in Prayer with tags , , , on September 28, 2012 by Ken

But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
 The woman said,
“I know the Messiah is coming—the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”
Then Jesus told her, “I AM the Messiah!” (John 4:23-26 NLT)

What does God the Father love to hear?
How did Jesus pray?

Praise- Our God loves to hear praises from the hearts of his children.
Faith- without faith it is impossible to have your prayers answered..

Only the living can praise you as I do today.
Each generation tells of your faithfulness to the next. Think of it—the LORD is ready to heal me!
I will sing his praises with instruments
every day of my life
in the Temple of the LORD. (Isaiah 38:19, 20 NLT)

Praise the LORD!
Sing to the LORD a new song.
Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful. O Israel, rejoice in your Maker.
O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King. Praise his name with dancing,
accompanied by tambourine and harp. For the LORD delights in his people;
he crowns the humble with victory. Let the faithful rejoice that he honors them.
Let them sing for joy as they lie on their beds. Let the praises of God be in their mouths,
and a sharp sword in their hands— (Psalm 149:1-6 NLT)

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 NLT)

Jesus prayed usually very simply-
At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way! (Matthew 11:25, 26 NLT)

“I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.

“I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me. (John 17:20-23 NLT)

So they rolled the stone aside. Then Jesus looked up to heaven and said, “Father, thank you for hearing me. You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.” Then Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!” (John 11:41-43 NLT)

Reckless Abandon– Live Your Life with Reckless Abandon!

Posted in Life, Success with tags , , , , , , on September 15, 2012 by Ken

Philppians 4:4 Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!

5 Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:6-8

6 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

8 Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

Good times.. the Spirit of the Lord is strong in my life today. Yesterday I was given the revelation of two words… Reckless Abandon
I feel He was telling me that I have lived my life at times with reckless abandon. Riding fast, taking risks and making decisions without considering the long term consequences.
It is true, I still at times live with reckless abandon. Life is too short, I feel to not live life to its fullest.
The Spirit of the Lord shared with me to live my life with reckless abandon for him and I would never be the same.
This is a word for me..only.. Or is it?
We limit God by our doubt, limits and hesitations. Fear of what people might think or complacency run rampant in the body of Christ.

Let Him strip the limitations from your life..
God is pleading with me, pleading with you to live your spiritual life with reckless abandon, not foolishness but abandon your life, dreams and goals and seek first His purposes.

Leave it all at the foot of the cross and ask that He fill you with his Holy Spirit.. follow Jesus with Reckless abandon and your life will never be the same.
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. (Matthew 6:33 NLT)
I was never able to do this before yesterday, I always seemed to have an agenda.. a plan and limited the Spirit’s work through my life. Does this sound familiar?

.
Today I truly understand what the scripture meant when Paul said ” My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20 NLT)”

Experience the fullness of God’s Holy Spirit in your life, even today, right now by joining me and deciding to recklessly abandon your life, worries and plans.

His plans, life and Love is all we really need.To my amazement He has restored and refreshed my life in the fullness of His Spirit!

Ask The Father to fill you to overflowing with his Spirit.

“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7 NLT)
