Knit Together? I thought this was just stuff that happens…

Paul said this in Colossians 2:  1 I want you to know how much I have agonized for you and for the church at Laodicea, and for many other believers who have never met me personally. 2 I want them to be encouraged and knit together by strong ties of love. I want them to have complete confidence that they understand God’s mysterious plan, which is Christ himself.

Paul understood some of the reasons that all this stuff in life was allowed, why it happened and how God was using the intricate situations in our lives to bring the church closer together.. He had  experienced quite a bit at this point and was not done yet!

He goes on to say in Colossians2:3 In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

4 I am telling you this so no one will deceive you with well-crafted arguments. 5 For though I am far away from you, my heart is with you. And I rejoice that you are living as you should and that your faith in Christ is strong.

6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

8 Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers[a] of this world, rather than from Christ. 9 For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.[b] 10 So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

So often we fight against, pray against and struggle with the situations in our lives naturally. I purpose though that all of the situations, I mean everyone  all has a intricate design and plan. Not that God brings the problems but is aware of everything and is allowing it in our lives to number one refine us…

Revelation 1:6 (New International Version)

To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

Malachi 3:2 But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. 3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, 4 and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the LORD, as in days gone by, as in former years.

He has called us as priests and is refining us, we know this to be true. Secondly he is allowing and working life’s situations so that we are knit together with strong ties of love. He is building his glorious bride the church, refining us, teaching us how to get alone and how to truly one another.

This how we must do it.. To become mature and be ready for his coming a spotless church without spot or wrinkle…

12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Let us look at al that is allowed in our lives as part of his refining process and try to let his love shine through us to those close to us truly being kit together with strong ties of love, cause stuff just doesn’t happen unless it is in His plan..

God Bless and ride safe 🙂
